It is my privilege to serve the families of the Bishop Walsh Community.
I begin by thanking you, our parents, and our entire school community for making Bishop Walsh School, your choice. Our students continue to add to the fabric of Western Maryland and the surrounding communities.
The graduating class of 2008 has reported to college. Each student and there were 47 students, were prepared to enter the halls of higher education. This class collected over 2.4 million dollars in scholarship money. The return of their initial investment is great. The cost of the educational experience is priceless.
We proudly open this school year and we hope that our parents will get involved as we make every effort to provide the best learning environment and atmosphere. This year as I met with the faculty, Hope, was the theme of our opening days. It is hope that I have in the future of our church. It is our responsibility to nurture the youth in our faith.
As the year unfolds, do not hesitate to come to school to see how we are building the kingdom of God. Come by and see me or anyone of my staff. We welcome you to the halls of Bishop Walsh School.
Mr. Samuel Torres, Principal
