Jeff Ross (BW Class of 1990) & Ray DiGilarmo (BW Class of 1973) Scholarship
This scholarship foundation initiated by Dr. Joe Ross and Mrs. Sherri Ross honors two outstanding Bishop Walsh alumni who were a credit to the principles of Catholic education. The scholarship is open to any local resident of the Cumberland area who is attending or will be attending Bishop Walsh School and is or will be participating in two sports and a school club while carrying a 3.0 or above GPA. The scholarships awarded may be full or partial based on the situation of the individual family. It is the goal of this foundation to provide any area student the opportunity for a college preparatory education based on twenty-first century learning, moral integrity, and religious belief.
“Through the kindness and support of Mr. Joe Ross and Mrs. Sherri Ross, we are now able to offer our local students who have found tuition cost prohibitive an opportunity to attend Bishop Walsh School,” says Dr. Ray Kiddy, BW principal. “It is our hope that through the Ross’ generosity, any local student who would like to attend Bishop Walsh and is able to meet the qualifications of the scholarship will be able to make us a viable choice.”
